pull someone’s leg 捉弄人 / 開玩笑

這句諺語乍看很像扯後腿的意思，但其實是指「開玩笑」、「捉弄人」的意思。

例句：

She told me she met a Hollywood actor at the grocery store, but I think she was just pulling my leg.

他跟我說她在超市遇到了一位好萊塢演員，但我覺得她只是在逗我玩。

Are you pulling my leg, or did you really win the lottery?

你是在開玩笑，還是你真的中樂透了？

He told me I had a spider on my shoulder, but he was just pulling my leg.

他跟我說我肩上有一隻蜘蛛，但他其實只是在捉弄我。

如果要表示「扯後腿」，英文則要說 hold someone back 才對喔！
