Can / Could I ask you for a favor?
favor 是「幫助」、「恩惠」的意思，用在這個句型裡面，就是「能幫我一個忙嗎？」的意思，是求助時最常見的開場白。
例句：
Can I ask you for a favor? I need help proofreading this presentation.
能幫我一個忙嗎？我需要人幫我校對這份簡報。
Could I ask you for a favor? Could you cover my shift tomorrow morning?
我能拜託你一件事嗎？你可以代我明天早班嗎？

tip 除了是「小費」，也有「訣竅」的意思，在這個句型要用複數型；此外，這邊的 on 後面可以接名詞或動名詞。
